The Perfect Dopp Kit
As a frequent traveler I’m constantly trying to pack The Perfect Dopp Kit. Having all of your necessary supplies at hand when away from home can make traveling a little easier. The Art of Manliness (one of my favorite sites) has a good introductory article on packing a proper Dopp Kit.
You can’t take everything with you when you travel and having a defined container helps keep things in check. Items I always keep in my kit (besides the basic hygiene elements):
- Aspirin (for AM)
- Tylenol (for PM)
- Spare Contact Lenses
- Dental Floss
- Antacids
- Small Sewing Kit
- Safety Pin
I don’t carry soap or shampoo as these are ALWAYS available at the hotel and take up precious space in the kit.

By tracking search terms Google Flu Trends allows you to see where people are looking for relief. They also have graphs of past years and charts showing world-wide trends. Pretty interesting way to use aggregated search terms to spot possible trends throughout the world!
