This tangy, creamy dip tastes just like buffalo chicken wings. It’s best served hot with Frito Scoop® corn chips and celery sticks for dipping. I had this for the first time at my sisters house & will have to admit that I ate about half of it (I didn’t leave the kitchen for an hour).
1 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
1 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Ranch dressing
1/4 cup pepper sauce, such as Franks® Red Hot®
1 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch celery, cut into 4 inch pieces
1 bag Fritos Scoops®
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine the following:
- Cream cheese
- Chicken
- Half the Cheddar cheese
- Hot sauce
- Ranch Dressing
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top
- Place in an oven proof dish
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Serve immediately
We have made this for several of our parties and it is always a favorite, usually the first thing to go. We have served it with both Ritz style crackers and slices of french bread. A definite must for anyone who has never tried it.
This dip is becoming so popular! It even has its own website: http://www.buffalochickendip.com. I recommend using Swanson Chicken, because its made with only white meat. (I work for them, so I know!) Plus, its low cal/low fat, and the pre-cut pieces are the perfect size for the dip. Also, you can substitute blue cheese dressing for the ranch and/or blue cheese crumbles for the cheddar. Yum!
Love your post!! Finally someone got it right!!! Would you mind if I put a blogroll link back to your post? 🙂
